Bellydancer Laura Díaz was crowned champion of GoldFest Chile 2023 in the Professional category. The event, held at the Municipal Theater of Chillán from January 5th to 7th 2024, celebrated its 10th edition with an extraordinary showcase of national and international talent.

More than 300 artists from countries like Brazil, Argentina, Egypt, and Russia shared their passion for bellydance, and Chile, with its own impressive talent, was no exception.

Laura Díaz, who had been living in Santiago, traveled from New York to compete in the event and captivated the judges with her technique and elegance, demonstrating the high level of bellydance in Chile.

"It’s a huge surprise for me to have won first place. I couldn’t believe it—it’s been incredible," Laura said, expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to participate.

GoldFest Chile, which not only celebrates bellydance but also promotes inclusion and the development of new talent, filled the Municipal Theater of Chillán with vibrant colors and rhythm.
